Lavital beds and innovation
Corporate Social Responsibility
Lavital specializes in making all its company processes more sustainable since 2006. This has resulted in a master class ‘Lean production’ in cooperation with TNO and Syntens, a ‘Sustainability Award’ awarded by a member of parliament, fair trade certification, a place in the national ‘MKB (Middle and Small Business) – innovation Top 100’ and an ISO 26000 track through the use of pure and natural materials that are primarily recyclable and compostable into organic fertilizers (tested and given the ok by Cradle to Cradle partner ‘Van Gansewinkel’.
Fair trade cotton
Lavital was the first bed brand in the world to use Fairtrade certified organic cotton from Africa, benefiting the health of the people sleeping on it, and just as important, manufacturing a product with respect for people and nature.
A Lavital bed is free from petrochemical or synthetic materials. The use of natural, unsprayed materials like cotton (fair trade and organic), wool (organic), camel wool, horse hair and flax has by far the healthiest effect on the body. It is important that you are comfortable, then and only will your body relax.
A bed free from petrochemicals and synthetic materials
Unlike the normal practices in the regular bed industry, Lavital does not use polyester, (natural) latex or (memory) foam in mattresses or box springs. Because the more chemical materials your mattress contains, the worse sleep you get: people sweat, toss and turn or wake up clammy. Compare it to wearing a coat: a wool or cotton coat will breathe, wherever you wear it and whatever you do. But take a walk in a polyester or latex jacket and it becomes very uncomfortable after a while because it does not breathe. So why would you sleep on polyester or latex?
Lavital offers an alternative for a better and healthier night’s rest.
We offer only the best for our customers.
